MY STORY

When I was 5, I wanted to be a mermaid.

When I was 10, I wanted to be an archeologist.

When I was 15, I wanted to be an actress.

When I was 20, I wanted to be a pilot.

Then I got an engineering degree, went into industrial sales, got married and had a baby, who's now in college. Yikes!

Now I own a business and I'm loving every minute of life!

My Mom will tell you that I was always the outgoing, adventurous type.  Though my creativity took a little hiatus during my college years while studying mechanical engineering, it's returned in earnest with the flexibility that has come with my hubby and owning our own business.

After some genealogy work, I've discovered I come from a long line of farmers, and my grandparents and mother were all gardeners, so my love for tilling the soil is no great surprise.  But, my relatively recent interest in cooking is somewhat of a shocker (just ask my Mom).  What started as a great stress reliever and weekly meal planning tool has blossomed into a passion.  Really, it shouldn't be that surprising, since figuring out how to prepare the wonderful bounty from the garden is only natural.

Adding travel to the mix only accelerated my desire for all things culinary, because I wanted to duplicate many of the foods I tried on my trips in my own kitchen.  But, exotic ingredients aren't always available at the local market, so in many cases I grow my own.

And so, the interconnecting cycle of gardening, cooking and travel has brought me to create this blog as an outlet to share my Kulinary Adventures with you.
